Serious luxury here, with stunning views to boot, Sunday Independent, 18 May 2008

Cuilmore Cove occupies a spectacular elevated site with stunning views over Cootehall Bay Marina. Cootehall is an attractive, historic village built on the Boyle River, with access to the Shannon Erne Waterway system. It is an area of immense natural beauty with superb recreational activities nearby, including boating, angling, walking and hiking and also a choice of golf courses.

The interior of each house is luxuriously fitted out with walnut and oak flooring throughout, underfloor heating, a jacuzzi bath and natural stone façade. There is also the option to purchase/lease a berth in the marina.

Bustling Carrick-on-Shannon is just 10 minutes away and is one of the fastest developing towns in the region, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. It has a vibrant night life and entertainment supplied by a choice of superb pubs, hotels, a four-screen cinema and an Aura Leisureplex with an indoor swimming pool and gym.

As if that wasn't enough to whet your appetite there is the newly opened Lough Key Forest and Activity Park in Boyle, where attractions include an outdoor adventure play kingdom, a Scandinavian-style, 'tree canopy' walk, a viewing tower and a restaurant/cafe - all set in a 350-hectare estate.

Plenty to keep the kids (big and small) amused for hours on end. For further information contact Gillian Ryan of Colliers Jackson-Stops on 01 633 3700 or visit www.colliersjs.com

Attymon House

Now this is beautiful. I want this home and I want it now. I want to be Lord of all I survey in this house and I want the little people to come and worship at my Galwegian altar. I don't want much, do I? You, on the other hand, are not seeing a therapist and have enough money to make this wonderful dream your reality.

It really is nice. Restored and extended in recent years, the house retains all of its original character and many period features, and the reception rooms and principal bedrooms are south facing. The house also benefits from a fourth large reception room that was recently added and is ideal for entertaining in on a grand scale, or equally just to relax in - though not perhaps at the same time.

Outside, too, you will want for nothing. To the front, a large gravelled forecourt bordered by rose beds and expansive formal lawns. Behind the house is a large terrace that overlooks an ornamental lake and the surrounding gardens, where a previous owner incorporated a seven-hole (practice) golf course. How cool is that?

When minions or slaves come to visit they can stay in The Coach House, which is ideally laid out for guests with up to three bedrooms and a double-storey open plan bar and sitting room, or even in the thatched cottage if you're feeling generous.

Attymon House is fit for a king. It's time to start gathering your subjects.
